One of my most requested recipes for women about to give birth! 💙
Peri Pads or "Padsicles" are a must-have after childbirth for perineum healing.
Mix the following in a bowl or condiment bottle:
12 drops doTERRA Lavender 12 drops doTERRA Peppermint 5 drops doTERRA Frankincense 12 drops doTERRA Geranium 5 drops doTERRA Helichrysum 1 Cup water 1/2 Cup Grapeseed oil 1/2 Cup Witch Hazel
Take 6 or so extra-long overnight maxi pads (I like to use Free & Clear cause I'm sensitive) and place them on a baking sheet. Apply the essential oil mixture on each of the pads until they look wet. I like to put it over the entire pad from front to back. Then place the cookie sheet in the freezer for an hour or two. Once frozen wrap each pad back up and place in large zip lock bag and put back in freezer. They will be ready to grab when the time is right. Use them after childbirth as an ice pack on the perineum area.
This recipe made about 12-14 pads.
